Dr Vanessa Pearce was approved as the first female GP Trainer in the local area in 2001.Up to 2 GP Registrars from the Mansfield GP Training scheme will be working in the Practice for 4 months at a time. A GP Registrar(GPR) is a fully qualified doctor who will be specialising in General Practice. The GPRs offer a greater flexibility of appointments for our patients and often bring many new ideas to the Practice
Occasionally, the GPRs will videotape their consultations. This is for their own training purposes and as a requirement for some of their assessments. You may, of course, choose not to have your consultation video-taped if you prefer. All recordings are discarded safely after usage to safeguard your confidentiality,
Occasionally we have final year medical students from Nottingham University. On these occasions we will notify you at your appointment and ask for your permission to be present.
