You may have heard in the news that GP practices are now able to prescribe patients with the popular weight loss injections. Please be advised that this information is incorrect, and currently there is no service available to patients which enables the GP to prescribe this in this locality.
Please do not contact us to book a routine appointment online or via the telephone expecting to be prescribed this medication as we are not able to do so.

The strict eligibility criteria for accessing weight loss injections means access is only available to patients with at least 4 of the following 5 health conditions plus a BMI of at least 40 (BMI to be adjusted for ethnicity);
- type 2 diabetes mellitus
- high blood pressure
- heart disease
- obstructive sleep apnoea (when your breathing stops and starts while you sleep)
- abnormal blood fats (dyslipidaemia)
